About SHA Hash

SHA (Secure Hash Algorithm) is a family of cryptographic hash functions designed by the U.S. National Security Agency.

• SHA-1: Produces a 160-bit (20-byte) hash value, no longer recommended for security purposes
• SHA-256: Produces a 256-bit (32-byte) hash value, widely used today
• SHA-512: Produces a 512-bit (64-byte) hash value, higher security

Note: SHA is a one-way encryption algorithm and cannot be decrypted. The same input always produces the same output.
